WHAT’S IN A NAME?

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY FRIENDS!!!

Please allow me to ask this question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that it speaks to your heart, as God is speaking to mine through it.

How do you feel about your name?

I know this is a very weird question, but for some of us maybe our names aren't very flattering. Maybe your name has been spoken with disrespect by your family, especially maybe your parents. That can really be heartbreaking, and you probably think of your name as something to be ashamed of. ☹

When have you been able to name something in a friend or family member that reflects who they are?

Maybe you've got a friend, that has been a person of honor and integrity, or you know someone that shares and shows the love of Jesus in their life, and you want to be more like them.
What I'd like to do right now my friends, is share some things that God has shown me from His Word, not only in regard to this morning's passage of scripture, but as to what a name entails. That there is power in a name, but most of all, that your name, that you are valued by God. Come join me in this vlog and learn just “What’s in A Name”! 😊

So, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that you see your name as not a curse, but as something special from God. I pray that if you've been hearing your name spoken and disrespect, that you will look to the one who treats you with dignity, honor, respect, but most of all love, and if you don't know him as your savior, you'll receive him as savior today. I also pray that we learn to show respect and honor to people when we call them by their name, because we are affirming who God has created them to be. I pray that we all realize that we are made in God's image, that he loves us unconditionally, and that we allow him to mold and shape us into who He wants us to be. Remember my friends, that “What’s in A Name”, is who you are in Christ, and that's what matters the most!
