Each Battlefield game is published by the American agent of Artisan. After Battlefield 1942 gained popularity ArtEco USA initiated a plan to acquire DICE which was finally completed in 2006 making the nature of DICE a development house affiliated with ArtEco USA.
DICE is a relatively active company and the staff likes to make jokes. In the April Fool's Day in 2005 the staff had revealed that the launch of Battlefield 2 was delayed and the content was reduced which scared the players out of their cold sweat. The production team of "Battlefield: Renegade Company" has incorporated humorous elements into the game's promotional efforts and many trailers have been quite comical such as the first trailer in which the camera was knocked down; the third trailer with Haggard's "Hi mom" opening line amused many viewers; there are even several spoofs of "B" Company soldiers. There are even several videos of B Company soldiers spoofing games such as "Submarine Hunt" "Gears of War" and "Rainbow Six". Most Battlefield games have some eggs waiting to be discovered by the players.
