Calibrating Mapping with Visual Whisker Sensing - Bionic Whisker Robot
1 year ago
26.4K
For those tactile robotic systems that have to work for a long time in the real world, automatic error correction and calibration is a prerequisite for their long-term stability. Bellabot is such a robot. It resembles a large "compound eye" made up of many "eyeballs", each with a bionic tentacle, powered by electric artificial muscles, providing visual error feedback through cameras, and a standard industrial robotic console.
