Coming from either side of the aisle, it's always easy to assume that when we're debating the issues of our day, or trying to have discussions with someone on the other side, we automatically assume that we're both pulling from the same pool of information.

But when you spend even a minute listening to the mainstream media, you catch a glimpse of why it's become really difficult to communicate with each other, because it's obvious we're not establishing our views from an even remotely similar foundation.

If I were someone who listened to the mainstream media with full trust in them as a reliable source, my perspective would be completely different.

This is what I gathered from a recent clip from MSNBC that I came across recently.
