A sped up time-lapse displaying the process of a painting I made.

For me, creating mandalas is like making an art prayer. It is also like taking a screenshot of the inside of my brain. I like making them because they make me feel focused and centered while I am creating them. They take a little longer to make than some of the other kinds of paintings I like to make because they are geometrical, but that can be a fun process to explore. Even though I measured things out and sketch the drawing out beforehand, I try not to focus on making it perfect though. I actually think things look better when they aren't perfect, it makes them feel more human to me. Usually my creative process is more spontaneous than this, so it is fun for me to do these kinds of paintings sometimes. That's what I've been doing recently, but things are always changing.
