Val Lewton's THE GHOST SHIP 1943 - Directed by Mark Robson. A young merchant marine officer begins to suspect that his ship's captain is mentally unbalanced and endangering the lives of the ship's crew, to the point of causing the deaths of some of them. The ship's crew, however, believes the vessel to be haunted and cursed due to the several mysterious deaths that occur.
