--On the 50th Anniversary of the Marine Mammal Protection Act, Dr. Solangi explains the ecosystem science in the Final Environmental Impact Statement for Louisiana's planned massive Mid-Barataria River Diversion, tells how the project will cause extinction of one of the largest dolphin populations in the US, and we discuss how one of the most critical environmental reviews for permitting approval - the Marine Mammal Protection Act - was side-stepped by a single paragraph waiver snuck into a large amendment to the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 in the middle of the night in Congress.
