Royal Air Force Typhoons arrive in Romania to conduct NATO enhanced air policing, March, 2022
Royal Air Force at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base
In the current complicated regional context following the conflict in Ukraine, the Royal Air Force Typhoons arrive in Romania at the Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base. Their mission in Romania is to conduct NATO enhanced air policing, thus bringing their contribution to the security of the NATO Eastern border.
These fighter jets add up to the other NATO fighters already present in the region and increase the Alliance's ability to rapidly reply to any situation threatening the country's territory.
