The ben-te-vi (Brazilian Portuguese) or great-kiskadi (European Portuguese) is a passerine bird of the Tyranidae family with the scientific name Pitangus sulphuratus. The species is also known by the Indians as pituã, pitaguá or puintaguá. Other existing appellations are sad-vida, bentevi (this spelling is not recognized by the Portuguese Orthographic Vocabulary),[2] bem-te-vi-verdadeiro, bem-te-vi-de-coroa, tiuí, teuí, tic- tiui. The European Portuguese version of the word resembles the Anglophone one: great kiskadee. In Argentina, it is known as bichofeo, twentyveo and benteveo; in Bolivia, as cold; and, in French Guiana, as kikiwi or qu'est-ce qu'il dit.
