What is the way of holiness?

I'm sure you've heard of the stairway to heaven and the highway to hell. These phrases have become immensely popular, and they are used as metaphors for what it takes to become righteous or fall into Satan's hands respectively.

However, Isaiah 35:8 talks about the way of holiness, and it says that fools and unclean people can't use it. How can we "drive" on this road? Where does it lead us?
