Deus Ex: Invisible War (Xbox) 1 hour Gameplay

Honestly, Deus Ex fans were way too hard on this game. I love this game. This is one of the four reasons I bought an Xbox to begin with, and while, yes, it was watered down when compared to the original, and yes, the ammo system was dumb, I still think this is an amazing game that is really hard to find a good way to play it.

I bought the Steam version of the game to play the PC version, and it's broken. I have tried shutting off all but one core, I have tried a tweaker mod that supposedly allows multi-core support, and no matter what I have tried so far, I can't get the PC version to run to save my life. It boots into the title screen, shows the opening CGI sequence, and then goes black.

This game also does not have any backwards compatibility on any of the Xbox systems released after the original Xbox which I am playing this footage on. I have a component cable for the Xbox, but the visuals were too interlaced that it was hard to watch, so I had to run this through my RetroTink 2X Pro on S-Video to get rid of the interlacing issue.

If someone knows a way to fix the steam version of this game, I would love to know. Maybe I need to play around more with the settings in the Tweaker, but as of right now, this is a game that is in danger of incompatibility for anyone wanting to play it. Steam sold me a broken game. Not like they really care. My last option would be to buy the physical PC version of the game, and install it on my Windows XP Rig, which I may have to do, or just run a virtual machine.

I love this game, even if it didn't live up to the original, it's still a great game in my opinion, and it always will be. It's just a shame that it's so hard to find a way to run it.
