Operation Fast and Furious was an ATF operation that involved running guns to Mexico to track weapons going to Mexican cartels. The plan was to entrap illegal weapons runners by using 'straw purchases' but the guns were never tracked officially, resulting in many civilians' deaths in Mexico.
