Humane society staffing shortages: Wisconsin facilities at 'breaking point'

Many animal shelters around the country are in crisis. Milwaukee area ones are struggling to find more workers, and care for a record number of pets in need. The Wisconsin Humane Society’s Ozaukee County has reached a point where it must halt adoptions temporarily starting this Saturday, because of an extreme staffing shortage here. Earlier today we were at another animal shelter also facing a similar challenge, at the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission.
