The show House of the Dragon is based on the book "Fire and Blood" written by G.R.R Martin and published in 2018. The book chronichles the ruling family of the Targaryens from the start of Aegon the conquerer reign. The TV show deal with the time called Dance of the Dragons also known as the Targaryen civil war.
