APD Assists Gwinnett PD in Arresting Abduction Suspect

On 9/17/22 The Atlanta Police Department received a BOLO alert from Gwinnett County PD in reference to a male suspect who abducted a female victim near Jimmy Carter Boulevard and I-85. Gwinnett PD was able to track the suspect’s vehicle as it entered the city of Atlanta. Using Fusus technology, APD units also received an alert that the suspect vehicle was in Buckhead.

Zone 2 APD units assisted in locating the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers were able to detain the suspect without incident. The female victim was in the passenger’s seat and did not appear to be injured. Gwinnett PD arrived on scene and took immediate custody of the suspect. We would like to commend both Gwinnett County PD and APD for their collaborative efforts and working together to capture a wanted person.
