How much protein should you have daily?

The data has changed and now recommends that an adult should be having between 1-1.5g of protein per kg of body weight per day.

The previous figure of 0.8g is now deemed inadequate for anything other than preventing disease. But as mentioned in the clip, we want to do more than just that we want to thrive in life!

So if you weigh 80kg, you will need to consume 80-120g of protein per day.

A common mistake is to assume the weight of e.g. a chicken breast is the same as the protein content.

This is incorrect, look at the nutritionals on the back of food packaging to determine exactly how much protein it contains.
