1 Corinthians 3:16-23 [ESV]
16 Do you not know that you [y’all] are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

o DO YOU NOT KNOW… first of ten in this book (let’s keep track)!
 ALL PLURAL – Collective – The Church!
• Destroys the Temple (church) – Division/Factionalism

18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” [Job 5:13] 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” [Psalm 94:11]

o Deceive Himself: The destroyer can be doing it unwittingly!
 Wise in this age: The wisdom of this age is trash

o SO… Not done with unity – but beginning to wrap up this part of it
 “ALL THINGS ARE YOURS” – this is a mixed bag!

o Every brother and sister in Christ belongs to everyone else! We are responsible for one another!
 No need for competitive rivalry
 No place for pride/arrogance
 And No tolerance for dissension

*** SO WHAT ***
- Everything belongs to us (we are responsible for it as stewards) because it belongs to Jesus Christ (Redeemer King), because it was given to Him by God the Father!
o Matthew 28:18-20 “18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
o Psalm 24:1 “A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
- Do not destroy/tear down/blemish God’s Holy Church! For He has promised destruction to those who do!
