A FRIEND LIKE THAT

Proverbs 18:24 King James Version
24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA!!!

It's interesting to me, that the first thing that came to my mind as I was reading this morning scripture come up with this verse above, because I believe that's what Paul had in his life. He had friends that stuck closer than a brother, that showed themselves friendly, and he was the same way to them. He never took advantage of anybody's kindness, but always made himself useful. After all especially with Aquila and Priscilla he made sure to make himself useful since he was a tentmaker by trade. There was something very precious about this morning's passage of scripture, especially in seeing how Paul took the time to thank and give credit to all these people who were involved in this ministry, but most of all in seeing how he considered these people his true friends. That in the midst of his ministry, he chose to give credit to people, that he was very thankful to God for, and wanted them to know it. I think that's why these questions from this morning's devotional were so thought provoking to me and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully and I pray that God will challenge your heart through them.

Who are the people you know you can count on?

And how can you be a friend like that?

What I'd like to do right now my friends, is share some thoughts that God has given me from this morning's passage, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight. It deals a lot with what real friendship is about, but also how we can count on people, when we learn to open up and trust. Most of all, I think it gives us the opportunity to learn how we can be real friends to others, so that we can have a positive, godly impact on their lives too. Come join me in this flag, and learn what it means to be a friend like that! 😊

As I close this post for tonight, I pray that you take the time to learn just who your real and true friends are, and act on it. That you choose to associate yourselves, with people of godly character and integrity, so that your reputation, character, and integrity never suffer. That you choose to make intentional connections with others, that will build you up in the Lord, and not tear you down. Don't be afraid to be friends with someone who will speak the truth in love but will also be there to lift you up when you're hurting. I also want to leave you with this challenge from this morning’s devotional writer, Mike Wittmer, and pray that you will act on it. “Who’s in your community? The best place to begin is with your local church. Anyone there whose life has turned dark? As God leads, you can be a light that points them to Jesus. Someday they may return the favor.”

UNTIL FRIDAY MY FRIENDS:

HAVE A TRANQUIL, SWEET, AND BLESSED EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
