At just one month old, Yiuvany Aguilar’s twin daughters began to show symptoms of what would eventually be diagnosed as Alstrom Syndrome. It’s a rare genetic disorder the girls sadly passed away from at ages two and seven. For today’s Kern’s Kindness, 23ABC's Kallyn Hobmann spoke with Yiuvany about her story of resilience and hope, and how she’s now honoring her daughters by spreading awareness.
