Togata was one of the only humans who had been alive prior to the second ice age, thanks to his regenerative blessing that instantly heals/repairs any sort of injury or illness he acquires, rendering him functionally immortal as long as at least one part of his body is in salvageable condition. While his blessing was the largest cause of his dysphoria, he used it to rescue people that could serve under him as "staff" to achieve his dream of creating a superhero movie, much like the ones he grew up watching and admiring. In return, he offered them protection, shelter, and food.
