Does Self-Care Improve Productivity?

I was recently asked like, what's the difference between like self-care and laziness or procrastination? And ultimately there's kind of a fine line, right? Because yesterday, yesterday I took a self-care day. I was feeling like shit, I've got some stomach issues going on or whatever. So I just. I didn't do anything yesterday. I was totally unproductive and it's totally not like me.

And at times I was like beating myself up. But today I woke up and I felt completely rested. I feel amazing. I'm going to be able to do a lot more today than I would have been able to get accomplished yesterday. And granted, it's a Saturday, but who cares? At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what day of the week it is.

I took a Friday off, right, like, but I'm working on Saturday. So I think the biggest difference between self-care and laziness is self-care is kind of taking care of yourself after you've put in the work, right? Whereas laziness is just not wanting to do the work. Right. So yesterday by me just sitting around all day, I think about business, I think about my products, I think about sales, I think about all this stuff 24/7.

So to me, the best days for self-care are the ones when I've accomplished a whole bunch, and then I can just kind of like let my thoughts not be on work. So I think end of the day, the biggest difference between self-care and laziness is what you do after.
