Phase 3 of WWIII intensifies: Russia announces partial military mobilisation to fight ‘Collective West’

Blindspot #30, exactly twenty deliveries ago, covered in-house editorial committee speculations regarding the fact that a third world war is not ‘yet to commence,’ but that it has already evolved into discernible stages of an unfolding war. The reason Blindspot #50 reverts back to remind itself of the argument(s) made then, is due to two major developments in the recent week.

The first, the recently concluded Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit, where Iran ascended to full membership, with a mere few days later news confirming that Iranian drones are being deployed by Russian forces in Ukraine.

The second, President Putin’s address, 21 September, on a partial military mobilisation of reserve forces in Russia, to bolster deployments in Ukraine, as well as Russian support for referendums to be held in Donetsk and Luhansk regions on incorporation into the Russian Federation.
