Why is Free Will Significant? – Being Dad with Phil Lower, September 20, 2022

Of all of the species of animals and plants on the Earth, only man has free will.

Why? What is so significant about this? Tyranny and deprivation are common throughout human history. The desire to control other human beings has occurred since the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden.

John the Apostle wrote “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”

King David wrote “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him?”

All of this is the reason we are studying how our mind works. We can overcome our traumas and heal. We are the creation of God Almighty. He wants us to be whole and to decide the course of human history starting with ourselves and then our families.

You are designed to be a creative being originally in the image and likeness of God himself. The plan is for you to live higher than you are now and he has provided everything you need to heal and get there. You need to make the decision daily to stay on that path and return to it when you fall off.

Thoughts from 3 John 1:2, Psalms 8:3-4, John 1:1-5
