Many blame the Queen for centuries of colonialism and slavery.

For many African Canadians, the Monarchy's personal fortune was built on slavery, colonization, death and genocide. What many do not understand is that slavery was a world wide thing practised by nearly every culture, how it worked in Africa and that eventually the British used their power to abolish it in many places world wide.
