Why were we separated from our spirituality?

African spirituality is known by many different terms within the African Diaspora. One of those more widely known is Voudom or Voudoo, which was outlawed and demonised by the West when Haiti won its freedom from the attempts of France, Britain and Spain to colonise them.

As the 2,457,549 British African & African-Caribbean UK population (by measure of the census of England & Wales) we must recognise that we are seen as separate from the dominant English population. We're bothered by this system, which includes the ability to deny us opportunities.

Based on this we must establish a system that serves our own self-determination.
