2006 2013 Impala Noise from Passenger Front when Shifting into Drive See Description #Impala #Chevy

I personally have a 2006 Impala LT. About a month or so ago it started making a noise that I can only describe as a knock or a thump when I would shift into drive or take off from a stop sign or traffic light. Sometimes it would also do it shifting into reverse and certain types of bumps in the road.

I checked every part and bolt in the front end of the car including ball joints, tie rods and wheel bearings among others with no luck. Yesterday I was poking around under the hood and decided to check the bolts on the strut tower/radiator support bracket. To my surprise the bolt at the strut tower end of the bracket was loose. I tightened it up and it solved the problem!

If you have this type of noise under the circumstances listed above start there at that bracket. It was the easiest fix possible. Don't start just replacing parts and wasting money.
