US Ambassador to Ukraine calls Putin's announcement "sham referenda and mobilization." US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget A. Brink, has tweeted in support of Ukraine in light of Putin's partial mobilization announcement Wednesday morning. “Sham referenda and mobilization are signs of weakness, of Russian failure," Brink tweeted. "The United States will never recognize Russia's claim to purportedly annexed Ukrainian territory, and we will continue to stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes," Brink added.
