This morning before the sun came up I headed out to do my barefoot walk in the dark. It was definitely a different experience and it was a weird feeling not seeing what I was about to step on. I almost stepped right on a dead snake that was smashed in the road. But I did take a path that I walk frequently so I was fairly certain it was safe for the most part.
