Make a Medieval Flanged Mace

This is a tutorial showing you how to make a Medieval Flanged Mace out of foamboard or cardboard. You just need a few supplies like a wooden dowel, glue and paint. And I give you the template for the flanges. The template has seven different flanges for you to choose from.

A flanged mace was an interesting weapon used during the middle ages. It was a mace, so a percussive weapon that could generate a lot of force. The flanges are commonly thought of as slicing weapons but they really are not for that. They are more for getting a bite on an opponents armor, thus transmitting much more percussive force rather than just glancing off.
