Matt, the operator, did have a little harder time finding the whales that day, and at one point, I thought we might not see them at all that day. What shocked me as Bub’s mom was that Bub insisted on standing up on the boat and started raising his hands, and never before has he spoken this way again.

With Matt’s skill and bubs, soon after, the whales started to show up. Breaching.

While we were in the right place at the right time, if bubs had anything to do with speaking whale them, I’ll take this miracle and bring it into his folklore of childhood stories that he managed to call to the whales for them to come to him.
