Breaking: Vladimir Putin announces conscription for war in Ukraine

Putin: ”The west Threatens Russia with Nuclear Weapons, I should remind you Russia is a Nuclear Nation, and has More advance Nuclear Weapons as compared to NATO and we will use it if our territory integrity is threatened.
The west has crossed all lines
I AM NOT BLUFFING.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced partial mobilisation in Russia, meaning the military reserves will be conscripted to join the war against Ukraine.

Summary from Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu:

- 300,000 reservists will be called up - roughly 1% of the mobilisation resource available

- 70 military and 200+ civilian satellites, entire NATO alliance, working in the interests of Kiev

- Ukraine mobilised nearly 300,000 people - but has lost almost half its army

- Def Min says: “Our losses are 5937 dead. Ukraine’s losses are 61,207 dead and 49,368 wounded.”

- Conscription will not impact students - only those within reserve army or with required expertise or experience
