Wasted Opportunity: Easy Way Out

I recently helped my childhood best friend who was homeless and had nothing or no one to turn to. With him having habits such as being an alcoholic, Past conviction, and many other issues I knew it would be a challenge but nothing is too big of an issue for me to help someone find success. The question is how bad does he want it?
