I was feeling pretty tired, and a bit run down, which could be due to simply the start of a new week, but I also think it may be due to the compounding fatigue starting to catch up with me. I am planning on deloading after this cycle, so I am going to push myself as hard as I possibly can, where possible! My previous best with this weight was 5 reps, however I just hit 5 reps with 70 kgs, so I figured "why can't I hit one more?" Right? So despite feeling tired, I felt confident I could still hit a PR. However, for some reason during the actual set, I got in to my head that I needed to hit 7 and not six to get a new PR, and ended up grinding out 7 reps, with the last one being the GRINDIEST REP I'VE EVER HAD I think, with OHP. It was not until a little afterwards that I had realized what I had done, and actually exceeded my previous record by TWO WHOLE REPS. This is a HUGE accidental PR, hahaha. I sure ain't complaining, though! The mind can be a powerful tool. Even when you don't realize it! 🤘🏻
