"My name is Matt Bechtel, and I am an author from Fremont, Nebraska. I first made headlines at 19 when I ran for Fremont’s city council. Although I lost that race, I came back and won a few years later, becoming Nebraska’s youngest elected official at 22. After serving for four years, I decided not to run again and instead focus on other endeavors.
