President Joe Biden's approval rating reached a 12-month high of 44% in an August Gallup survey, up from his 38% rating in the same poll in July.
Despite the improvement, 53% disapproved of his performance, keeping Biden significantly under water with voters.
Biden last scored above that figure in August of last year when he earned a 49% approval rating, according to The Hill. Public support for him gradually eroded after the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in that month.
