Altech Chemicals offers alternative to grid storage with Cerenergy battery commercialisation JV

Altech Chemicals (ASX: ATC) managing director Iggy Tan joins Small Caps to discuss the company’s joint venture with German battery institute Fraunhofer IKTS.

The duo plans to commercialise the Cerenergy sodium alumina solid state battery, which is free of lithium, cobalt, graphite and copper.

Mr Tan says the Cerenergy will be a game-changing alternative to lithium-ion batteries in grid storage.
