Ukraine's nuclear company Energoatom said Russian troops struck the Pivdennoukrainsk nuclear power plant in Mykolaiv region on Monday. The blast that took place 300 metres away from the reactors, damaged a nearby hydroelectric power plant and transmission lines but all three power units remained functional. Ukraine's Mykolaiv region has been facing rocket attacks by Russian forces in recent weeks.
