Huge ‘carpet’ of plastic trash covers coastline in Honduras

Tons of plastic debris have covered the coast of Honduras, particularly the Bay of Omoa, 200 kilometers north of the country’s capital. The trash is floating down the Motagua River from neighboring Guatemala, causing tensions between the two countries.
