How to Make a Sword Forge

This is a tutorial on how to make a sword forge. This is a type of forge with a long fire pot. This way you can heat up the complete length of a sword. This is necessary for heat treating the blade (hardening and tempering). And this is difficult to do with a normal forge.
This also solves the problem of heat treating a sword if you made it by stock removal.

You can make a sword without a forge or an anvil by stock removal. But you still have the obstacle of heat treating the blade. With the sword forge you can successfully heat treat it.

I show you the actual sword forge and I take you through the whole process by building a small model of the forge. This tutorial shows you all the concepts so you can make your own sword forge with whatever materials you have available to you.
