Dr. Montgomery Rice outlines 'Beacon of Hope' program to close health care gap

Dr. Montgomery Rice, president of the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, has entered into a 10-year, multimillion-dollar collaboration with Novartis to close the healthcare gap between African Americans and their White counterparts. By recruiting and training medical investigators, it will help to alleviate the distrust Blacks have historically had of the medical community since the days of the infamous "Tuskegee Experiment."
