In an interview with the show, Dr. Jose Funes, the priest who oversees the Vatican observatory, made the very ordinary comment that the cosmos is so vast that "it would be plausible that life might evolve the way we know it on Earth." The voiceover that immediately follows this states, "Vatican authorities have openly accepted the possibility of extraterrestrial life. This abrupt change in Vatican policy necessitates some explanation. What does the Church know or what have they discovered that leads them to reject a doctrine that dates back two thousand years?
I'd want to demand an explanation from the Science Channel in the same way that we're asking the Vatican to justify its "policy" on aliens: Do you have to be crazy to work there?

Getting better We hear that there is evidence of extraterrestrial life in the "hidden vaults of the Vatican." It is no longer a secret, though, according to the Science Channel. Who needs proof when someone claims anything without disclosing who gave them this "secret"? The narration then turns incredibly dramatic: "But the Vatican's secrets can't remain buried forever. The Vatican may now be concealing real aliens from the public, according to fresh evidence
Aliens-looking skulls with long heads and little faces, according to the show, were discovered beneath the Vatican Library in 1998. However, access to the location has been restricted. Could these skulls be the remains of aliens who formerly resided in the Vatican, wonders a voiceover. Otherwise, the Vatican may hire coneheads to work in its "secret" archives.
