Judge in Parkland shooting case denies request to remove herself from trial

Judge Elizabeth Scherer denied the defense team's request to remove herself from the Parkland shooting case, which was carried out by Nikolas Cruz. The defense argued that Judge Scherer is prejudiced against Cruz’s lawyers after her response to the defense resting last week after calling only 26 of their 80 planned witnesses.
