Day 236🥩🔥 stayed home to rest, relax, and prepare for the upcoming week and ended up inhaling A TON of food this day. Primarily a lot of kerrygold dubliner cheese. This cheese is aged and hard which makes it more friendly to my digestion. The problem is that there has to be something in this cheese that makes it so addicting. I also notice that if I fall in to this addiction and eat a bunch of this cheese, then my mental, physical, emotional states as well as my digestion tend to underperform my usual levels.

Strangely after being on carnivore for nearly 8 months now, I have become more self aware and able to now tell the difference between legitimate biological hunger for nutrition VS food cravings. Food cravings being the feeling of “I have to eat this” typically driven by sugar or chemical additives to food such as MSG.

This kerrygold dubliner is the only food that I eat currently that gives me “food cravings”. The ingredients list on this cheese don’t mention any additives, however I’m suspicious there is something in there. As a side note, back in 2018 the company that owns the Kerrygold brand was sued because their packaging advertises their butter as being made from “grass fed” cows.

5:45am - 10oz homemade beef bone broth
8:30am - 1 gf beef patty (0.33lbs) + 3 eggs scrambled with 1T ghee + salt
10:30am - 5 pieces kerrygold dubliner cheese (about 2 oz)
11:00am - 0.4lbs oxtail meat + 1 cup homemade beef bone broth + 2 more pieces of kerrygold dubliner cheese
12:45pm - 1 gf beef patty (0.33lbs) + 2 strips bacon
3:15pm - 6 conventional string cheese + 2 strips cold bacon
4:00pm - 1.5 gf beef patty (0.5lbs) + 2 pieces kerrygold dubliner cheese (about 1 oz) 7:30pm 0.5 gf beef burger patty (0.16lbs) + 2 strips bacon + 2 pieces kerrygold dubliner cheese + 0.5 gf beef burger patty (0.16lbs) + 2 string cheese

I (Paul Woolley) am a father of 2 great boys, husband to 1 beautiful wife :), business owner that started carnivore diet to optimize my life, increase performance, and to lose some of that jiggley fat off my midsection. For the past few years, I thought the people that did carnivore and shared it online were influencers doing it to spite vegans and get clicks online, which is hilarious, but I'm now thinking that was not entirely true :)

The reason I got started on this carnivore style of living is because one day while scrolling YouTube I ran across a JRE podcast where Joe Rogan asked Jordan B Peterson about what he's doing to have lost so much weight. Jordan shared his carnivore lifestyle and even shared some of his daughter Mikhaila Peterson story overcoming autoimmune issues on a strict version of this carnivore diet she calls the Lion Diet. I highly recommend you search both videos where they tell their stories. Next, I read The Carnivore Code by Dr. Paul Saladino to get the "how to" do this correctly. And during my daily lunch breaks I would watch videos by Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Shawn Baker, and Dr. Ken D Berry to learn more about how to do this effectively and here I am, down 57+lbs, sharing my carnivore diet transformation journey.
