Pakistan Floods: Death Toll Pushes 1,500

16.09.22 - 1,486 people have died with about 530 children among them during the ongoing unprecedented floods in Pakistan, according to official data released Thursday, as aid flights from the US and the UAE arrived.

Record precipitation and melting mountain glaciers have already affected 33 million people in the country, with hundreds of thousands made homeless.

To make matters worse, health authorities have reported surges in dengue fever, malaria and severe gastric infections due to stagnant water. (RT)
