DAYS 86 - 88 / 2022 Wheat Harvest / September 9 - 11 (long journey home)

We didn’t leave on Thursday, as planned. But we did leave on Friday, September 9.

The ‘ole heart pinged that familiar homesick ping as we turned south on highway 59 headed towards home home.

First night was spent in the Belle Fourche sale barn parking lot.

Saturday night was spent in the familiar park south of O’Neill, Nebraska.

We made the final turn on Sunday afternoon.

Home home - it is good to be home. Really, it is. But, it’s a very difficult transition to make after being on the road for 88 days.

I once wrote about the difference between home time and harvest time. Maybe this will better explain why it’s so difficult for me - https://allaboardharvest.com/2017/05/24/tracy-harvest-time/
