Why do I have to figure out love???

A man questions why he feels the need to care for a woman who has a distorted image of who she projects him to be within her paradigm. He knows who he is yet she whom he loves the most makes him feel insane to consider his thoughts honest. He feels conflicted because on one end their relationship feels like a Romeo and Juliet love story for the ages but on the other end he feels sorrow and pain. He believes if they find it within themselves to hold on this could be something really beautiful. But he wonders if it doesn't work out the way he'd like... Will he still be happy in the end?.... Damn. He is hoping for the best either way it goes.
