US Customs and Border Patrol agents have been seizing the personal data from Americans that they are keeping on their phones, tablets, and personal computers as they reenter the country. This has been going on since the beginnings of the War on Terror and signing of the Patriot Act under the guise of supposedly trying to stop terrorists. Which they actually claim that the 4th Amendment doesn’t apply to or protect Americans when they are returning to the US from clearly what amounts to an unconstitutional seizure of personal property. If this wasn’t bad enough, they store the data they’ve illegally confiscated, aka stolen, for 15 years in a database thousands of CBP employees have access to, not to mention god only knows how many people across multiple US law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

In this video we take a look at this blatant violation of Americans’ inalienable right to be free from illegal searches and seizures.
