Fighting for justice is a thankless job. But former barrister, Julian Gillespie and Human Rights lawyer Peter Fam, with the courageous New Zealand lawyer Katie Ashby-Koppens, have been undeterred by setbacks posed by seemingly biased courts and a Federal Health Department which seems more concerned with protecting pharmaceutical interests than with protecting the health and lives of Australians.
A new case will be filed in the next 2-3 weeks in the High Court of Australia called The Australian Babies Case. (https://www.givesendgo.com/AustralianBabiesCase) It will try to expand the way in which standing is dealt with by the courts, allowing for standing to be applied for issues where matters of life and death rather than just commercial interests seek to be heard.
Join us in a conversation regarding the inadequacies of Australian law and how changes can be made to redress - at least partially - the wrongs of the last 2 1/2 years.
