John Mayer was sent to me as a True Gift from God, as his first Album came out just before Sept. 11th, 2001, and this was just two years after the Plane Crash that allegedly killed John John and Caroline Kennedy...it was a VERY Low time in my Life, where I was deeply contemplating giving everything up and moving away somewhere warm, and somewhere quiet, so that I could somehow find God; and thus, PEACE in my Life...Show more

At this time, as most of your are aware, there was virtually NOTHING happening within the Music Industry, and then along came this young man, this Album, his Voice and that Guitar, and John Mayer helped to give me HOPE once again Inside of me, that Not everyone was a Sell-Out, Fake or Phony...that Truth could still be found in Music, and that God was not Dead to the Many...

This song, St. Patrick's Day, closes an absolutely Brilliant album, as it ranks, to this day, within my Top 10 of the 150 Best, Most Important Albums of all time...and this song is purely Special, as it shows how we Beautiful, Authentic, Innocent Children have been BRUTALIZED thru Fear by Organized Society, forcing us to grow up into Broken Adults, without any Manual on how we are supposed to 'Fix' ourselves...and thus, in time, we come to feel like the narrator in this song, where all he wants is a relationship before Christmas time, so that he won't be alone at this HAUNTING time of the Year with Society...and how any relationship will be 'Safe' until at least St. Patrick's Day, as NO ONE WANTS TO BE ALONE AT CHRISTMAS TIME...

And then it is Frozen in January, February has Valentine's Day, before the 'Sanctity' of St. Patrick's Day...but after that safe passage of Fear, brings us back to the Ugly Reality of the Broken world, where Relationships fall apart faster than a Chinese made Toy...

The Song has a Sad Feel to it because, living with this kind of sensibility within us, is nothing but Sad and Heartbreaking, as we Live for SO LITTLE in our Lives, as we struggle to face ourselves each and everyday...and so, we come to hope for nothing more than to be in a relationship that will last until at least St. Patrick's Day...

This is a Brilliant Song from a God-Loving, switched on, Young Genius, that helped to turn my Life Right around, and back to God, thru a View that was filled once again with Hope and NOT Despair...
