The two gentlemen never got along; both vied for control of the Southern Campaign of the Revolutionary War. Gwinnett was shot in the thigh and died 3 days later. His Last Will and Testament was the first will filed in the Chatham County Courthouse in 1777. An actual copy is available online to memberrs of GeorgiaPioneers.com
